My husband will be in NYC for business from DC - I'm trying to find him a good place to grab dinner to go on his way back. He's catching the train at Penn Station and won't have much time, so he needs a good place nearby the station to grab dinner to go and eat on the train. Any suggestions?
I'm not a huge candy bar person, but I am dying to try a Twix Java, since the reviews of it online by several bloggers is awesome. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Has anybody in the DC area seen it around anywhere? I'll pay someone to ship a few to me if you have been able to find it elsewhere..thanks!
Any Serious Eaters out there in the DC/Maryland area who can clue me in as to where I can find meyer lemons? I've looked everywhere and haven't found any, and would love to buy and cook with some while it's the season .. thanks!
I'm brining a turkey for the first time this year and was going to follow Alton Brown's Good Eats Roast Turkey recipe. (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_8389,00.html)
However, I'm confused b/c Alton's recipe says to brine the turkey for 6 hours; however, a lot of sites I've been reading up on say a minimum of 24 hours for a brine. Can anybody give me a clear answer based on their own brining expertise; especially if you've tried Alton's recipe? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
