Cook the Book: 'Jamie's Food Revolution'
Leftovers! Does it get easier than that?
Or a big salad: bunches of leafy greens, 1/2 to a whole Roma tomato, 1/2 an avocado, some red or green onion, a good amount of rinsed and drained beans, a sprinkle of cheese, a handful of corn chips (like Fritos) and a dollop of Catalina dressing.
Cook the Book Party Planner: La Cucina
Traditional "Thanksgiving" foods because on Thanksgiving we experiment with new recipes.

Sponsored Giveaway: Enter to Win Tervis Products
I have several favorites...it's always been a character trait of mine. Currently I love my ceramic mug that was made by Heath Ceramics. It's just so lovely to use and to look at; it lives at work so it's used daily. I also have a fondess for my Picardie glasses at home.

Cook the Book: 'Good Eats: The Early Years'
I love that when Thanksgiving while my Grandy was still alive, was served on the Styrofoam (yeah, bad environmental juju and all) plates with the 6 separated sections. I still don't like my food to touch to this day and I think it stems back to those plates!
Dinner Tonight: Sopa Tarasca
I visited Pátzcuaro during an architecture summer studies program in college. This soup will honestly make you not want to have traditional tortilla soup again. It's become a regional soup in Michoacán and it varies deliciously between towns. I've searched high and low to find a recipe, I can't wait to try this!
Cook the Book: 'How to Roast a Lamb'
Gyros and braised lamb shanks!
Cereal with Water and Other Cereal Compulsions
I eat cereal every morning with the exception of weekends when I have time to make a hot breakfast. I have a nice rotation of high fiber cereals going in our pantry and then throw in some steel cut oats every so often. I always add milk whether its hot or cold cereal. If we buy "junk food cereal" then that's a Saturday morning treat, not an everyday food.
Cook the Book: 'The Pioneer Woman Cooks'
Besides Serious Eats and PWC? I'd have to say The Kitchn' which actually led me to SE and PWC!!
Cook the Book: The Southern Italian Table
1 or 2 Italian sausages, greens and pasta with a little garlic and olive oil is comforting and yummy.
Cook the Book: Pumpkin Baking
Pumpkin pie. Hands down, no contest.
Cook the Book: 'The Craft of Baking'
It was a tart with huckleberries, blue berries, and raspberries. It was such a flavor explosion!
Nationwide Shortage of Canned Pumpkin Threatens Thanksgiving Pies
I had to go to 3 stores before I found pumpkin last week. I bought 4 cans, but now I'm going back to buy 4 more!
Data Visualization: Distances to Nearest McDonald's
Pretty disgusting.
Cook the Book: 'Gourmet Today'
My first cookbook was the "International Pantry Cookbook", I got it when I started college and never looked back!
Cook the Book: 'What We Eat When We Eat Alone'
Cereal or leftovers or eggs. Or something I can whip together quickly from things I have on time like ramen noodles, summer squash and a good amount of cheese.
Cook the Book: '100 Best Vegetarian Recipes'
A broccoli feta sauce thats flavored with lemon and served over pasta. I'm also a sucker for bean and cheese nachos with salsa and guacamole! My favorite recipes lately have been meatless.
Threadless T-Shirt Giveaway: Booty Fruit
I love fruit. But if I have to choose just one, apples. Preferably Jazz or Pink Lady.
Threadless T-Shirt Giveaway: A Piece of Cake
Red Velvet Cake with butter-cream icing...I know, it’s supposed to have cream-cheese icing but it’s SO good with butter-cream.
Threadless T-Shirt Giveaway: Lemon Aid
Juice of 1-2 lemons, sugar and water to taste, add ice. Great for when you have a cold and need a super shot of Vitamin-C.
I also love Chick-fil-A lemonade.
I know it's horrible but I really also like Crystal Light "Natural Lemonade" flavor....the kind you mix in a pitcher, not in a water bottle.
Threadless T-Shirt Giveaway: Baron VonFunburger's Haunted Castle Cavalcade
Chick-fil-A chicken strips and waffle fries! Really anything from Chick-fil-A...yum.
Cook the Book: 'Rustic Fruit Desserts'
Anything with Huckleberries...which aren't common in Texas. Peach cobbler is always a favorite, especially with Fredericksburg peaches.
The Most Beautiful Baked Good: Cookie Cake Pie
Brownie + cheesecake + chocolate icing....it's so wonderful and to be made for special occasions. It's essentially a cheesecake brownie with icing, but believe me, it's SO much more!
