Watch It with Us: 'The Next Food Network Star' Season 5 Finale
Why oh why can't FN come up with a new Food Network host that can actually teach those of us who are more than just "flour-on-chicken in a frying pan" cooks? I can cook, darnit - teach me something I don't know! Enough of the Susie Housewife stuff. Wait...I don't mean to slam, but you know what I mean. Rachel, Sandra, Robin, Sunny, the Neelys, the winner from last season - they all teach just basics. C'mon FN - teach me something! There isn't a chance in hell I'll watch Melissa's show.
Critic-Turned-Cook Wonders: Where's The Drama?
Well, I can tell you from experience that for some chefs, the tirades are absolutely true. Yes, ramped up even higher for TV I'm sure. However, a few years ago Gordon Ramsay was in the kitchen at his restaurant in Claridge's Hotel in London, where I was having my birthday dinner. Every time the door opened and a server walked out of the kitchen, you could hear him screaming very interesting words. Honestly, didn't bother me much - it was the best meal I've ever had.

When will people get it through their heads that these products ARE NOT MILK of anything! Geez! Why do they call it milk? Cuz they couldn't sell it if it was called Soy Juice, which is what it really is.
