Do You Have a Favorite Greek Yogurt?

Total = Fage.

I like this Fage the best. It's what they use all over Greece. While in Crete, we had yogurt with spoon fruits after every meal. Utterly delicious!

OMG, WANT: Colony Grill Pizza, Stamford, Connecticut

Having eaten Colony pizza many many times I can tell you it's fairly good until it gets cold, which is about 30 seconds after you take the first bite. It's also super greasy.

Kind of interesting, but why not just go to the local farmstand/farmers market and actually look at what's in season?!

Dinner Tonight: Tuna Melt

Yes yes yes to the lightly toasted bread. I use a tablespoon or two of light mayo, 2 small gherkins or half a pickle (diced), and a teaspoon of italian dressing (or a splash of olive oil, sherry vinegar, salt, pepper), and a pinch of thyme and caraway. Any cheese such as cheddar, provolone, swiss, and broil until bubbly.

Cabot's Plain Greek Style Yogurt is absolutely wonderful! The price is right, too....much less expensive that Fage. Trader Joe's brand yogurt is also very good....especially the Honey flavoured. I like plain yogurt with a dollop of lemon curd....YUMMY!

Fage is fine but way too expensive.....rather make it myself than pay that amount. Oixos and Chobani, not so much.

I've been to Colony Grill more times than I can count, and it is simply fantastic. Cracker crust, great cheese, and great sauce. The Italian sausage is from DeYulio's, right across the street, and is superb as well. I always load up when I am in Stamford, or near it, and bring home at least half a dozen of these. They freeze well, and if you ask, they will par-bake them for even better freezing. I generally order them fully cook, freeze them in slices, and just place the slices in the toaster oven directly on the rack. Heaven for sure.

Fage with honey is fantastic
Tried Oikos and didn't care for it, same with Chobani.
Cabot's is hard to find but I did and it was a dissappointment. There is a local European, Turkish, Greek foodstore around here that I hear makes their own that I need to try. That said however, I really only like Fage as far as grocery store Greek yogurts are concerned.

Liberté Méditerranée or Astro Balkan Style - but maybe only in Canada?

I think Oikos, Chobani, and pretty much all the others I have tried taste vile.

Cabot's Greek Style yogurt - their low-fat vanilla bean is our current favorite, and gotta love that it's made in Vermont!

The Greek Gods honey flavor. One of the best things I've ever eaten.

I agree with Oikos being running. I buy TJ's simply because it's cheaper, but I love Fage.

@jay27 - I agree with you; Voskos is my favorite too! I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned more than once in this thread...

3 Greek Gods is my second choice, after Voskos.

As for the Oikos (Stonyfield), I don't really care for any of them except for the strawberry flavor... the plain, vanilla, and honey flavors all have a strange, chalky consistency; I don't know how the strawberry flavor managed to escape the same fate, but it is the only Oikos flavor that I ever buy.

Do You Have a Favorite Greek Yogurt?

I'm curious about the Stonyfield - I usually grab TJ or Fage, just because they're so prevalent.

Do You Have a Favorite Greek Yogurt?

I get TJ's regular goat's milk yogurt, and strain it down to a Greek yogurt consistency. Its a little work for outstanding results.

I love Fage! Oikos is a very distant second. Chobani is chalky and not so good.

Do You Have a Favorite Greek Yogurt?

I prefer Fage. Oikos and Chobani taste like chalk.

The only ones I've seen are Fage, Oikos and Chobani.

Still no substitute for Lucy's Greenmarket report in NYC.

If only there were a horde of interns who would get up at 6am and post photos of what's available on her behalf! I feel a little lost when she gets sick or goes on vacation!

I bought the 1.0 version when it first came out and was very disappointed. When I first opened it up, it said nothing was in season, which very well could be the case, but I didn't need to pay $3.99 for it to tell me that. Even with the new social aspect of it, I say don't waste your money.
