Sipping on a blended mint mojito with a strawberry wedge while sitting on a patio in the summer sun is my idea of a heavenly experience!

Serious Sandwiches: Najib's Special at Nuba

WOW! After reading this article I put Nuba on my list of Eateries to Investigate in Vancouver and, after two months on the list, it's finally crossed it off. Najib's special is everything Zach made it out to be and more. The lemon juice gives the cauliflower an amazing aroma and flavor, which just can't be beat! Thank you for the recommendation - I'm a regular already.

Warning: to those who wish to devour a mouthwatering Nuba dish - the restaurant is packed from 11:45 to 12:30. If you want to avoid a line and increase your chances of grabbing a seat, avoid the lunch rush.

Granville Island Lager - why drink the flavors at the same time!

If we're going for sweet I love a ripe and juicy Bartlett pear. If I'm paring it with a savory dish - BBQ grilled portobello mushrooms!

Gin and tonics are my favorite for something cool to drink while sitting on my patio.

Mint juleps! Forget mojitos, I prefer this classic work of art in bourbon, mint, sugar and ice - the perfect compliment to relaxing on a porch swing or rocker.

Give me a refreshing Gordon's Cup made with cucumber and limes - you can add a splash of Midori for extra pizazz!

I love a Sea Breeze - vodka, cranberry juice, and a squeeze of fresh lime. Ahhh!

Cherry limeade, made with club soda and not plain water. Fizzy and fresh and cold, it hits all the right spots.
