The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever (Unless You Have a Better One)

I just made these and my guests are raving. The recipe made 2 dozen 1.5" diameter heavenly cookies -- they were not too "big" and they were certainly fat! I look forward to making them again.

Cook the Book: 'Food Matters: A Guide to Conscious Eating'

Like many a Bittman fan before me, I have discovered the magic of quinoa, bulgar and other wonderful grains. The greatest change that I've made is a result of the relationships that I have formed as a result of my new less-processed-foods hunt. I'm on a first-name basis with my butcher, fish monger and baker; each of whom supply me with excellent (e.g. organic, grain-fed, whole-wheat, etc...) quality products. THANK YOU!

Sipping on a blended mint mojito with a strawberry wedge while sitting on a patio in the summer sun is my idea of a heavenly experience!

Serious Sandwiches: Najib's Special at Nuba

WOW! After reading this article I put Nuba on my list of Eateries to Investigate in Vancouver and, after two months on the list, it's finally crossed it off. Najib's special is everything Zach made it out to be and more. The lemon juice gives the cauliflower an amazing aroma and flavor, which just can't be beat! Thank you for the recommendation - I'm a regular already.

Warning: to those who wish to devour a mouthwatering Nuba dish - the restaurant is packed from 11:45 to 12:30. If you want to avoid a line and increase your chances of grabbing a seat, avoid the lunch rush.

Granville Island Lager - why drink the flavors at the same time!

If we're going for sweet I love a ripe and juicy Bartlett pear. If I'm paring it with a savory dish - BBQ grilled portobello mushrooms!

"cauliflower and ketchup pasta" - that distracted me from the rest of the post, unfortunately. ew, ketchup rather than tomato sauce? ketchup as a sauce? that's just blasphemous.

Made them yesterday. BEST EVER. Never will veer from this recipe again. Want to send love letters to them...saw them on counter this morning and had to use every cell to resist eating 5 for breakfast.

I think before you can find the perfect CCC recipe, you must first describe your perfect CCC. Is it chewy or crispy-crunchy?

He's taught me that you don't have to go without the things you love...and since I love bacon, that's precious to me.

His interview on NPR was great. He made me think of eating in a more responsible way. In some ways it is better to eat local raised meats than imported produce. That kinda shocked me. We really need to think about the chemicals involved in transport and packaging foods.
