Slice Poll: How Often Do You Eat Pizza?

For me, it depends on the week. It is usually at least once per week. However some weeks, it can be an every day event. (Yes, it is an event since I celebrate pizza.)

Weekend Book Giveaway: 'American Cheeses'

I never say no to any cheese. Today I would have to go with Cabot Clothbound Cheddar.

starting a food blog ........

I just skimmed the suggestions, but I like "The Butcher's Blog," "Matt's Meats" and "Mr. Meat."

Please pardon me if these are duplicates:
Matt the Butcher
Matt on Meats
Meet Matt's Meats
More Meat with Matt

I Love Creamed Spinach

I've never been tempted by creamed spinach because the spinach always looked too mushy. This one is calling to me.

Lactose and My Adios

Nice try, Adam.
If that were true for me, I would contemplate suicide. I cannot live without cheese.

I have fresh pizza dough: What shall I do with it?

If it is frozen, defrost and let it rise a bit. If it is in the fridge, let it come to room temperature.

Fry 1-2 tsp dough balls in oil. When the balls start to brown and float remove and put on paper towel to drain. While still hot, cover with powdered sugar.

You could also make mini calzones with your favorite fillings.

Which is your ultimate comfort food?

Any dish containing my three favorite ingredients (mushrooms, cheese & garlic), macaroni & cheese, just about any hot pasta dish, soup and artisian bread.

Sad Foods: What do you eat in times of trouble?

Unfortunately, if I am really sad, stressed, or depressed I lose my appetite.

My comfort foods when I'm having a bad day are anything with cheese, garlic, and/or mushrooms or soup with good bread.

Question of the Day: What weird things did you like as a child?

I hated milk. The only way I would eat cereal was with chunky peanut butter, and chunks of cheddar.

One of my favorite things for the superbowl is a taco dip from the Jewel store deli. It is kindof pricey, but the dip is so good and I wouldn't be able to make it for less than that at home. THanks for the giveaway!

Seriously, I could make a list of everything that I love to eat and everything on that list would be too fattening, to high in cholesterol, to spicy, and so on. It is easy, like the folks who only eat orange food, etc, if I like it and want to eat it, it is absolutely forbidden, food-wise. I am not ill or anything, but, I have been slowly and steadily gaining weight for the past several years and I can see where the path is leading, so I am on the "Lupinea Diet", again, if I like it or if it sounds good to me, you cannot eat it, it is absolutely forbidden. I don't think I will become rich with my new "Lupinea Diet", don't you agree with me? Lupinea@aol.com
