How do YOU make a tomato sandwich?
Grilled sourdough bread...nice slather of homemade pimento cheese made with Duke's mayo (holla. NC!)...thick slices of a homegrown heirloom tomato, sprinkled with salt.

Toasted sourdough batard with provolone, topped with a perfect slice of tomato, sprouts and a drizzle of mustard vinagrette....

Market Scene: A New Market in Town
Yay!!! My neighborhood farmer's market is famous!! I was so thrilled to see the parking lot filled with local vendors and love the energy that is buzzing on Sunday morning. I hope it's here to stay- I happily give up my parking spot for such a wonderful addition to the 'hood.

I LOVE Calolea Olive Oils and their bath products at the Inner Sunset Farmer's market in San Francisco. Besides making wonderfully fresh tasting olive oils and vinegars, their Olive Oil Sea Salt scrub is so divine!

Favorite frozen entrees?
Typically, Trader Joe's wins the freezer aisle in our house:
-Shrimp Gyoza (great punch of ginger)
-Edamame Shumai
-Penne Arrabiata (when I am super lazy)
However, my boyfriend LOVES pierogis and TJ's are awful, so we stick to good 'ole Mrs. T's...add some sour cream, caramelized onions and fresh dill!

A Hole in One!!!! My grandfather used to make these for me when I was a very little girl, visiting him in Lancaster, PA. He was not a golfer. He was first-generation American of Swedish descent, who had grown up in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Cheese fries with feta dip from The Grill in Athens, GA (open 24 hours, and they don't mind my drunken revelry!) or animal style from an In N Out. Although I'm pretty sure everybody likes about anything from LaFonda dogs by the UGA library, in terms of nasty-ass street food. I'm nursing a gin and tonic right now, and getting absolutely ravenous reading your posts!

Has no one heard of a garbage plate? i think it originated around rochester, ny.. best drunk food. ever... basically its a giant plate with either two hamburger patties or chicken fingers, french fries or homefries, mac salad, bread and covered in chopped onions.. you have to drench it in ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper.. its amazing...

It's strange no one's mentioned Montreal's poutine. It's the best food for a hangover -- the starchy French fries topped with cheese curds will help you sleep like a baby. When the bars start closing in Montreal, restaurants serving poutine are absolutely packed!

I'll eat anything that I don't have to cook myself. Or wait a long time to eat. Fast food is definitely high on the list. Pizza, burgers, hot dogs (I have to be REALLY drunk to eat those), french fries, tacos, nachos....Mmm mmm mmm.

Cheesecake bites from Taco Bueno. Then french fries with ketchup from Whataburger.
Take any pretentious foodie, get them drunk, and they won't know the difference from foie gras to Big Macs

Chili Cheese Fries from the Fleetwood Diner in Ann Arbor, Mi is my all time favorite post drinking food. Pizza or Taco Bell works if I'm not able to hit the Fleetwood.
