How to Make Potato Gnocchi

Nnot sure if you have added enough flour. Have a pot of boiling salted water going as you mix the gnocchi. When you think the gnocchi are ready for shaping, take a teaspoon-size lump and form by hand. Place in the pot and cook, if it disolves, or falls apart, you need to add more flour.
And to cb1414, I always pass the potatoes through a wire sieve instead of a ricer.

Grilling: Pizza

We tryed grilled pizza on the gasser this weekend. Prepared a simple dough with 3 c. flour, 1 c. water, 1 tsp. yest, salt and a couple of Tbsp. olive oil. One rising, then divided into 4 balls and refridgerated for about 6 hours. Brought to room temp before grilling.

Set grill on high one side and other off. Pressed out dough on parchment strips. Oiled top well, then flipped over onto cool side. Dragged over to hot side with tongs. Cooked up beautifully. Topped and place bakc on grill. Started on hot side until dough was done, then moved over to cool side to finishing melting cheese.

Le Creuset: Is it worth it?

This Christmas, DH purchased a Kitchen Aid 5 qt. Oven Dutch Oven for me. It is enamelled cast iron, similar to LC. I have used it a couple times now and am very pleased. and the price was right, regular $175. (CDN) on sale for $49.99. I do have LC from the early 70s. It was my mom's and we use it for deep frying. We have always called it Grandma's Magic Chip Pot.

How Old Is Too Old To Trick-or-Treat?

No age limit but put some effort into the costume. If I think you are a little too old to be out, I might insist on a little entertainment before I hand out a treat, sing me a song, dance a couple of steps, tell me a joke. The first of the group usually balks, but by the time the 2nd or 3rd starts they are all into and laughing. And if they don't want to play - go home.
