Crock pot, definitely. I'm a graduate student who loves home-cooked meals. I love coming home to a kitchen that smells great with a warm meal waiting for me. This book could definitely spice up my meals (I'm making Chile Verde right now actually)

Does Burnt Toast Cause Cancer? Maybe

Wow, bread and acrylamide. I do biochemical research and use acrylamide on a semi-regular basis. It's fairly carcinogenic when not in solution and especially when it's airborne (we all wear masks whenever we're using it) I'm going to have to make sure to not burn my toast from now on!

What do you eat for all-nighters?

@ yosemit3 I completely agree on the Wasabi dried peas. I just graduated with a degree in biochemistry and they were my lifesaver! In addition, they help to clear up the sinuses if you're having allergy problems too

Thank you so much for these tips! I am in your exact position, and, even worse I'm moving from cheap rent in Indiana to Berkeley, quite a difference in price of living! I will put all of these to use!
