Dear Food Network, Please Stop

I haven't read all of the comments, but here's the bottom line. Matthew Greenberg has hit every nail on the head with his comments. I truly LOVE Food Network. Really, I love it. With all of the garbage on TV these days, I find refuge and rest in watching Elton work his magic on Good Eats. I adore Ina Garten and Giada - and I agree that they are relegated to times that make no sense during the week.

What on earth is the Food Network trying to do by showing such drama and 5-year-old behavior on Food Network Star? Goodness me, to show people accusing other of questioning their integrity????? OMG should I even want to watch this?

I wrote to Food Network months ago telling them that Ina, Elton, Giada, Mario and Anthony Bourdain were their "A Team." Get rid of the Neelys - I don't want to see people do "The Bump" in the kitchen, I want them to show me how to COOK, damn it. Teach me, show me, introduce me to new foods or old foods with a new twist on preparation. Get it? --- COOKING.

Give it a rest and get back to real programming.

Cook the Book: 'Summer on a Plate'

My mentors are all of those wonderful people who frequent farmers markets and cook simple, fresh, wonderful food for their families. The people in Italy have the right idea, they cook what is best, what is fresh and then share and enjoy their wonderful cuisine with those they love. Truly the way to live and enjoy life!
