When my husband made me a birthday cake, he didn't know our oven cooks much hotter than it is set. The cake cooked in almost half the time and was black on top!

I like to make soup using a chicken carcass for the broth base. First I boil the carcass in a pot of water and strain out the bones and skin. I also pick off any remaining meat and add it to the pot. Then I add noodles, spices and veggies. It is different every time, but very filling and satisfying.

I have made my great grandmother's carrot and zucchini o-shaped loaf for my in-laws for the past three years. I surround the loaf with and put in the middle tons of roasted broccoli - definitely a crowd pleaser, as it goes fantastic with the turkey and mashed potatoes and all the other classic sides!
