The Different Types of Peanut Butter Eaters

growing up was peanut butter and jam or marmalade on toast, in college i discovered peanut butter and bananas on toast, and now i mainly use an all natural organic kind to stir into my oatmeal.

I have read that peanut butter is one of the most pesticide laden crops so I encourage everyone to look into organic versions!

DVD Giveaway: Food, Inc.

I haven't seen Food Inc. yet, but changes I've made as I've become more aware of how food is made are: almost eliminating beef and pork from my diet, purchase naturally grown (no hormones) and if possible, organic chicken, organic fruits and veggies when possible, less canned items, sustainable, non-farmed fish...not 100% in any category besides chicken but doing as much as the budget allows

Serious Heat: Cayenne Tea to Cure the Sniffles

I actually drink a concoction very similar to this every morning to get my digestive system revving. Warm water (which I mix boiling and filtered water), about a teaspoon of raw honey, juice of half a lemon, and a couple dashes of cayenne. It also really helps to drink it with a straw not only because it helps to get it down quickly but also because of the acidity of the lemon. To clear up my congestion, I also use a neti pot every morning. It's an all natural safe way to start the day and is not as jarring as it seems!

Additionally, there are so many benefits to lemon juice and cayenne besides just allowing you to breathe. This blog post explains it really thoroughly-enjoy! http://meghantelpnerblog.com/2009/06/08/lemon-juice-makes-me-wince/

Have have Yakult and some imitation and love the original not just for taste, but for the health benefits. There are about 8billion of live Lactobacillus casei shirota (a strain of probiotics) in one container. Take that yogurt!

Cook the Book: 'Food Matters: A Guide to Conscious Eating'

I enjoy Bittman's NYT blog-more for inspiration. I didn't realize his stance on local foods and how much of a figure he is in advocating vegetables. I have been on the road to healthier eating and I think that his book will provide additional inspiration.
