@katzimmer - Do it, go back! My thoroughly Ukrainian haul was pennies compared to groceries in my area and it lasted much longer.
@Trilby - you can't really go wrong experimenting with the chocolates! Any of the truffles are fantastic and anything with hazelnuts will have pictures of them on the wrappers. Good luck!
@BrooklynChef one of my favorites, too!
@Niko Oooh that sounds delicious! I'll have to check it out.
I'm a big fan, too. The texture was just never an issue for me. More tororo for us!
I don't care that the temperature has gone down, I'm headed to SobaKoh tonight!
Papaya. Every time I see it in a fruit salad I think, "How exotic and delicious looking" and then, inevitably, eat around it. It's both a texture and taste issue.
i very rarely eat fish and follow a vegetarian lifestyle about 98% of the time, so i guess it just didn't cross my mind. but now i know it's completely worth it!
By all means! It would take me 2 seconds.
That doorway off to the left of the restaurant? My apartment building. I may have the worst apartment on the upper east side, but I'm calling a locational win. Sounds like I'll have to start taking advantage of it.
@Jline: The picture is from the post "9 Waffles We Love in Chicago," specifically, it's slide 5 of the slideshow - the Daily Waffle at Jam. Looks delicious, doesn't it??
@crispyduck13 - hope there were some other recipes you liked! because i like the 20 minute baking projects, i always make those chilled doughs the night before and then the day i'm actually baking it's only 20 minutes :)
@Jdbli and @ssdf23, thanks for letting us know, we got that coding fixed so the links should be working now. Sorry about that and enjoy the recipes!
@Katie Potato: jag kan tala lite lite svenska. Mostly food-related words, which works out well for me!
@CreamCheese: I must have missed the deleted comments, but it sounds like that's a good thing...? Thank you for the welcome. I'm thrilled to be here!
@RachelB3: a thousand times, yes! I miss it.
Sounds like we have some exploring to do! What would you suggest a first-timer order?
I, personally, haven't been for the hash recently but this is so disappointing to hear. We'll have to take a poll around HQ and see who has ventured over recently and what experience they had. Thanks for bringing this up - homemade hash was such an appealing rarity - have other people you know been having the same experience there?
Wasabi cream cheese...swoon! Thanks for adding some places - all of those sound fantastic. Now that the sun's finally coming out, that breakfast in the park option is opening up. If everyone keeps adding their favorite spots, think of the delicious list we'll have going!
Thanks for the feedback! I can't speak for the SE Editors, but I can tell you that we're working on posting a week's worth of classes as well as including a section on looking forward to the following week of classes so you can plan ahead and hopefully grab some spots in the much-coveted classes. There will be one coming out soon - take a look and let us know what you think about the changes! We love hearing from serious eaters.
Good catch! That must be what happens when you simultaneously think "ultimate" and "pinnacle." Thanks for pointing it out!
