Dinner Tonight: Espagueti Verde

I'm an editor for a Spanish learning book, espagueti is most certainly a real word. Furthermore, I thought I was the only one who ever had this meal!! My sister used to cook it all the time and I thought she was crazy. Good stuff.

Boston: Shakshuka at Sofra Bakery and Café

Nice post! I was in Israel for over a month and regretfully never saw this on menus.
It reminds me of Mexican Huevos Ahogados - drowned eggs-. Same basic formula of spicy tomato sauce simmered and the eggs are poached in the sauce. Serve with warm tortillas and voila!

if you want authentic cuban then just have two slices of miscellaneous white bread, a thin slice of ham, some sliced cucumbers, and maybe there's mustard involved.

i spent three months in havana this year. none of the 'wiches i tasted came with a mojo sauce and pickles were beyond impossible to find. you should have seen how excited i was the day i found one little pickle in one of my sandwiches.

Pastrami Burgers: Are They Seriously Delicious?

I grew up eating at Crown Burgers in Salt Lake City because I lived near it and I still have fond memories of those burgers. They are seriously worthy of Times recognition. The pastrami is perfect as well as the patty.

Oh and SLC is run by greek burger places like the article says, but Crown is the best.
