Healthy & Delicious: 30-Minute Chicken Tagine

This was really good, easy to make and the flavor was nice; I did microwave the chicken to see what that would be like and it was okay - I should have checked at 10 minutes or so, because the thighs were fully cooked at 15, but the chicken was moist. I'll make this again, with pleasure.

The Old Country Store in Lorman, MS has incredible fried chicken - seriously the best I've ever had, and well worth the drive from Jackson. Hell, it's worth flying to Jackson so you can drive to Lorman.

Seriously Meatless: Caramelized Onion, Potato, and Blue Cheese Tart

This was pretty delicious; we made it as written, and other than the potatoes sticking together when they were hot out of the microwave, it was trouble-free. Might not be a weeknight dinner unless the dough was made ahead - this was 2.5 hours start to finish. Also, we'd use better blue cheese next time, for the melt factor.

Cookbook Giveaway: 'A Twist of the Wrist'

There are so many to choose from, but I'd have togo with olives - they're an appetizer, a snack, and they add tremendous flavor to salads and entrees - we cook several chicken dishes with olives regularly, and they pack so much flavor.
