Slideshows are tedious

Unfortunately Steve Jobs have decided to refuse on having any flash application for iPhone and iPad users, for many possible reasons, and becoming the only mobile devices that is not compatible with flash.

If this website decided to do a slideshow based on flash, it will definitely be bad for "Jobsian dictatorship slaves", and I'd blame Steve for trying to control the whole media/technology industry.

But then again, there are other programs like HTML5, that can be used to program a more user friendly and efficient slideshow, and I'm sure seriouseats will make it happen and give us some serious better viewing of this site, right? Right!

@seriousb, the timing is actually quite funny, well I guess that's something we don't have in common ;) The website itself doesn't have to be flash, just the slideshow, and as long as its programmed properly, it will not take a long time to load, given that it will only contain photos and maybe some text. It should work even faster than viewing and loading a video on an html based website, like this one.

I was once a website developer, years and years and many years ago, and I remember working on a website where I built a slideshow based on Flash. You can incorporate this Flash based slideshow into your website and when viewed, only the slideshow itself will need to reload, faster and more efficient. I don't quite remember the codings I used to program this application, but I'm sure your website developer will be able to make it happen, that is, if you decide to do so.

What do you do with your leftover ingredients?

You can turn leftovers into delicious soups, flavourful stew, a good omellete for a good breakfast and even use them for pizza toppings.

As some have said, basil is straight up pesto and use it a sauce for pasta or add some sundried tomato and goat cheese and stuff it into a chicken breast/supreme, pan fry it or simply just bake it, and you got yourself some serious dinner, and its good too!

What to do with roasted Garlic?

Do a roasted garlic mayo, good for burgers and as a dip. You can also mix your roasted garlic with butter and herbs as a compound butter for steaks or to finish up sauces and make it nice rich yummyliciously glossy.

In Videos: 'Tom Colicchio on Taste' Diet Coke Commercial

It's only diet coke, shouldn't really hurt his rep. If it was lets say hmmmm 50 cent in a commercial drinking a diet coke, then his street credit will definitely get ruined.

Can I Cook Risotto in Advance?

You definitely can and should be able to do it. Start your risotto ahead and cook it 75 - 85% doneness, like what beano said, just spread them on a baking sheet or wide pans to release the heat and stop the heat from continuously cooking the grains, you still want to serve them al dente. In this case you are not "re-heating" your risotto, you are simply finishing it during service.

Do you have a unique song you sing when you make a special dish?

I usually do some freestyle rapping when I'm doing preps ( and no I'm not good), I sometimes even make up words just to get some rhyming, while I do some chopping, red and green pepper I'll be slicing, and I'm outing.

Virgin or Bloody Mary: Way or No Way?

Not a big fan, if I have to pay for it I'd rather get a nice cold dark beer or a rum and coke. I bartend and I've had orders of Bloody Marys with pickles instead of olives or a stalk celery. Now way for me drinking it, Way for me making it,
