Beets in lieu of red food coloring

My little sister absolutely loves red velvet. I am not into using artificial coloring if I do not have to. And we all know how kids get after it, crazzy!!!! I don't even think she will notice...at least that is the hope!

Healthy Work Lunch Ideas

tuna, celery, tomatoes, celery & garlic salt (your discretion) olive oil and red wine vinegar....it's soo good! I also make more fulfilling salads...celery, carrot, chick peas, scallions, romaine, tomatoes a little asiago cheese with a light vinaigrette.

I have leftovers the majority of the week!

Crispy Shredded Hashbrowns?

Milk is a great idea, I can never get my hashbrowns right! Totally off subject but, i bread and then fry my chicken cutlets, put them in a baking dish, pour a little milk on it bake for 20...they are never dry and soooo delicious...thanks to the milk!!

New Le Creuset, now what to do with it...

you will soon forget about all your other pans! my boyfriend's mother got me one and a cast iron pan.....i don't know how i lived without them prior.

you can cook everything in there....i cook soups, my sauce and meatballs, EVERYTHING!

I think I splurge when it comes to food..period. Olive Oil, meats, fish, lettuce/spinach etc. is a must. I just recently purchased white balsamic vinegar at a local Garlic Festival and it is so delicious! $13 for a small bottle...but so worth it :)

Food Burnout

That happens to me a lot. I tend to go with what I know the majority of the time...chicken cutlets, salad, roasted veggies, spaghetti bolognese, vegetable & chicken soups, spaghetti & meatballs. meatballs of which i love to cook because they get better each time! i always buy the magazines while i am waiting in line at the cashier. and each time i learn something new from those!
