Healthy & Delicious: Grilled Zucchini with Quinoa Stuffing

it was discarded to make room for the filling! though i suppose you could save it to use as a filling for something else...zucchini ravioli or something?

this sounds delicious and healthy.

Salsa Verde Potato Salad

onions? and this may sound weird but red grapes in a potato salad are delicious. not sure if it will go with a salsa verde tho - try a little bit.

What Burger place should I try next in NY?

burger joint at le parker meridien for a great solid burger (as mentioned above) - just follow your nose!
the irving mill by union square - their burger is juicy, fatty and super flavorful. my favorite in nyc so far
city burger for the black label burger - they use a special blend by pat la frieda (same meat purveyor that shake shack uses)
the spotted pig

Truth Be Told...Cleaning cast iron cookware

i don't ever wash mine with soap unless i cooked something really greasy or saucy in it. i just use coarse salt and oil, then take a paper towel and scrub all the food bits off. i dump the salt and then wipe all the excess oil off with the paper towel or soft cloth. one bonus - if i only use it to cook bacon, i save the salt and use it to season things. no use paying for bacon salt if you can make it yourself!

if i do use soap to clean it i reseason it. i just smear it with crisco and then stick it in the oven at 250 for about 4-6 hours.

Le Creuset: Is it worth it?

i got mine at a huge discount on ebay and it is definitely well worth it. they last forever and you can cook an entire meal in it. that and my cast iron skillet are my two favorite things to cook with.

Katz's & Di Fara would be at the top of my list, way ahead of Chang, as well as Barney Greengrass. Can't wait to read about your dinner at El Bulli :P

Why Eat Cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery When Everything Else Is So Much Better?

I gotta agree - Magnolia cupcakes are crap. The frosting and cake are always dry. I usually go with Sugar Sweet Sunshine in the city and Heavenly Crumbs in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. But never EVER Magnolia. Plus all the other spots are not crowded with the SATC tour/crowd, so that's an extra bonus.

Look, all of us want more blog traffic, and there is no way we can read all of our collective blogs, but we should really make an effort to check out at least other 5 SE's blogs if we post our own in this thread --after all, not fair to 'shill' if you don't help others out!

So wonderful to have so many fellow writers! I actually have two blogs to share. One is my personal blog: www.thedilettantista.wordpress.com which covers, well, EVERYTHING, cooking, restaurants, movies, etc. I started it this summer when I was living in New York City for an internship, so it is especially heavy on NYC eating.

I am also a contributing writer to Carpe Durham, a food blog that focuses on eating in Durham, North Carolina. The blog was started a few years ago by Duke law students, and I am a newer writer. The blog is a great source if you live in the Triangle area!

While I'm at it, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you food bloggers. The time, effort, and enthusiasm you all put into your blogs delights, entertains, and educates the rest of us.

Thank you all!
