I find the breading on the spicy chicken sandwich @ CFA to be too thick. Anyone else feel this way? Also, it seems like the breading on the regular CFA sandwich is getting thicker. Is there an overzealous chicken breader at my local restaurant (assuming they do it in house), or is it something new they're trying out?
Oh my goodness, I just got a vita-mix and I love it!! I go on and on about it - I can see my lady's eyes glaze over sometimes, but I don't care. It's the shiznit! It was totally worth the price. I've used it every day since I've had it and hardly ever used my now deceased kitchenaid blender when it was working. Love, love, love it!
Yeah I hear about someone killing a person and putting their body in the freezer and it doesn't really bother me. Not saying I'd want to make that discovery, but it seems like it happens quite often. Old news. However reading about a pet in a freezer turns my stomach for some reason. I realize it might be necessary in some instances...it's just - yikes!!
That said, I put all of my meat wrappers into the freezer in the summer. If I buy a piece of beef or chicken and throw the plastic and styrofoam into the trash, the next morning the house smells like death. I keep them in the freezer and add them to the trash when it's time to take the trash out. That's if I can remember!

Sorry things aren't going well for you Sudenveri - but I think things are getting a little off topic here. If you don't like what Ed writes, you certainly don't have to read it. No one here will mind, promise!
Ed, it's such a struggle to lose weight when food is such a passion - I know. Just be mindful. Each choice you make will make a difference, whether it be drinking one less glass of wine, or giving or throwing away part of your lunch...quel horreur!!!
The Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit is so good...and their new spicy chicken sandwich is awesome too! I love Chick-fil-a!!
We're visiting NYC over Thanksgiving and wanted to get some suggestions for having a Thanksgiving meal in the city. Is there anywhere that's not ridiculously expensive but serves decent food? Is there a website (that I don't know about) that has information about various restaurants that might make it easier for us to get information? Any information would be great.

I'm making ribs this weekend and am looking for a few side dishes to help round out the meal. I want something carb-y and then something that will be a vegetable salad - I'm not opposed to cole slaw, but I want something that's not super heavy. I need some inspiration. Anyone have any ideas???

I'm interested in getting a new blender, and have been looking at the Vitamix models. Before I spend $500 on a blender, I want to make sure it will live up to my expectations. I want my new blender to make smooth icy drinks - no annoying chunks! Other than that, I don't really care. If anyone has a Vitamix and can rave (or rant) about it - feel free. Or if you have another brand of blender and want to give a recommendation, go ahead. Thanks!

The problem with most Sichuan restaurants is that they don't use Sichuan Peppercorns. How important could a single spice be to a cuisine, you ask? Very. The Sichuan peppercorn is not hot at all in the conventional sense. Rather, it is extremely floral and aromatic with a unique tongue-numbing ability. The regular peppermint says Ice Cream on the top of the lid. Maybe the Slow Churned does not, but the regular definitely does.
