Rome Report: The Greenwich at 00100 Pizzeria

This was one of my favorite places in Rome. The trapizzino and suppli were so delicious. Plus we discovered a wonderful Italian craft beer. The only drawback is that it's so small, I wish they had some tables.

Rome: Pizzarium

I absolutely love this place and went twice during our trip to Rome. So delicious and so many imaginative combinations! It was hard to decide which ones to try and then when we would go back in to get something, there would be more types coming out of the kitchen. Some of my favorites were prosciutto with mozzarella and mushrooms, mozzarella with potato, and fresh ricotta with baby zucchini and mint.

We went to the Aviary on a recent trip to Chicago and really enjoyed it. The Blueberry and On the Rocks were particularly impressive.

I've tried Smashburger, Elevation and The Counter here in Dallas and agree with you completely! I love Smashburger and their burgers are consistently messy and delicious. I wanted to like Elevation but they fell short on execution.

I have brought back Jamon Iberico from Spain; foie gras, cheese, chocolate and macarons from Paris and craft beer from Rome.

Also, when i go back home to NY (I live in Dallas now), I usually bring back smoked salmon from Russ & Daughters, bialys from Kossar's, doughnuts from Doughnut Plant and a box of Tastykake's butterscotch krimpets.

A Guide to UK Chocolate Candy

I love Munchies and Cadbury Caramel. The first time I went to the UK, my friend (who had lived there for a couple of years) made sure she stocked up on British chocolate before we left. I kept wondering why she was buying Cadbury when you can get it in the US. On the flight back she gave me a bar and then I realized why! Creamy and delicious.

Luckily I don't live too far from a store that stocks these goodies although I always have a hard time finding Caramel in stock!

No Oven Required: Tastykake-Inspired Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies

I still love Butterscotch Krimpets and luckily, now that I live in Dallas, there are a few places I can find the individual packages. Otherwise, I rely on my brother in NJ to mail me a few boxes now and then.

He told me they have Butterscotch Krimpet water ice now at Rita's...while I'm not sure it would be good, I wish I could try it!
