First Timer in New Orleans: Where to Eat?

I lived in New Orleans for several years and the budget guide the first person suggested is spot on except it doesn't mention Mothers, Port o Call or Clover Grill . If you're there during Mardi Gras get a King Cake at Mannys in Metairie on Hullen near the mall. It's the best ever!

New Orleans: Get a Steamer on Bourbon Street at Clover Grill's a LGBT fave because it's closer to the LGBT section of Bourbon. It gets a really diverse crowd though most of the time.
