Cook the Book: 'Simple Fresh Southern'
Like many other commenters, my favorite is dressing (not stuffing, dressing, cooked outside the bird like a casserole). The best of all time is my grandmother's; a close second is my mom's; then my stepmom's; and then my own, a pale imitation but still very tasty.
Cornbread, drippings from the turkey, stock, chopped celery and onions, sage, salt, pepper... Mmmm. And the corner pieces are always best.

My favorite cup is a Tervis tumbler with a University of Georgia emblem on it, which I purchased in Athens, Ga. last year. It reminds me of the good old college days, it never sweats on the furniture, and it keeps the ice from melting (very important to a Southern girl).
