Regional Chain Restaurants
Runza in Nebraska and Colorado. The namesake sandwich is a much tastier version of a hot pocket and the fries are hands down the best fast food fries.
What is your fantasy food business?
I also have the fantasy about the small luncheonette. A couple of soups, a couple of salads, a daily special and basics like burgers. Then....the pie. The produce will be seasonal and fresh when humanly possible.

About kklinetobe
Location: Omaha, NE
About: 30ish in Omaha. Love cooking, baking, gardening, and eating the results of all of those.
Favorite foods: It would be easier to say what I won't eat: Atlantic cod and tuna (until we enforce stricter fishing regulation and let them replenish), shark, most organ meats (though I use them when making stock), arugula, olives.
Last bite on earth: Schintzel with stewed apples and a Milka chocolate bar.

I am way late to the game (just now getting caught up on emails) but I couldn't let this go. @Mohican, you are so mis-informed on so many levels, it is hard to know where to begin. Here is science sampler (and yes these are legitimate medical studies looking at people and not animals). These are my references for a semester long project I did as a public health student. I also work in lymphoma research and I see the effects of pesticide exposure every day. I grow rather weary of the lame (and frankly lazy) justification that "well I did such and such when I was a kid and I turned out fine..." Do I eat all organic? No, because I can't always afford it. But I try to educate myself as much as possible about what I'm eating and where it comes from.
