Sugar Rush: Bo Lo Bao from Ping's in Chinatown

Baw law bao (literally meaning pineapple bun) do not necessarily have pineapple filling. The name comes from the idea that the bun's outer curst resembles a pineapple. Tong yuen (my attempt at Cantonese photetics) aren't always filled with sesame paste. They can have peanut filling, red bean filling, or be served with no filling at all. Tong yuen is just the general term for a glutinous rice flour dumpling.
