Website:

Location: Feather Sound, FL

About: Originally from the Midwest. Now in Florida via New York & New Jersey. Unfortunately didn't become a "foodie" in New York City but rather here in Florida.

Favorite foods: Bahn Mi, Bolgoki, Kim Chi, Pot Roast, mashed potatoes & gravy, Cubans, Lechon Asado, rhubbarb pie, black bean soup, Babka, chocolate chip cookies, banana pudding, pastrami on rye, Carnitas, BBQ pulled pork, authentic gorditas, fish tacos, Brooklyn pizza

Last bite on earth: Perfectly ripe peaches & strawberries. A crisp, sweet apple. Fresh asparagus & a medium rare hamburger dripping with juices topped with bacon, cheese & all the usual toppings. And one piece of the finest dark chocolate. That should take me away in peace.

any sort of yeast dough is seen as impressive whether its for cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, waffles, or bread. People generally appreciate the time & work that goes into yeast risen products.

Here in Florida it would have to be an avocado tree along with tomatoes and basil.

I make mine from scratch & use cast iron as others do so that it gets extra crispy. I do have to say that my grandmother's is the best. Makes me want to make bean soup and cornbread covered with butter.

According to all of the information I've ever read, the Cuban originated in Tampa and always should have the following ingredients: roast pork, ham, salami, swiss cheese, sour pickles, mustard and mayo. It should not have lettuce or tomato but it doesn't necessarily bother me if it does.

a nice not-too-sweet fruity dessert. But I think I've had champagne most often with wedding cake, and not very memorable wedding cake, at that.

Another vote for peaches &/or strawberries. Add a little dark chocolate and it's the best.

Oysters are ideal, but I'll settle for almost anything: last time it was antipasti, next time it could be grilled fish -- who knows? It's a not-too-decadent indulgence to break out a bottle of something with bubbles for no good reason every now and then...the world needs more bubbles!
