I was eating a lovely brunch with my boyfriend at a bistro in the Village, and I found a hair in my food and removed it. I did not say anything to the waiter; I know these things happen, and it could have been my own hair. But after I finished eating, the waiter came over and said that he noticed me pulling something out of my food and offered to take my dish off the bill! I was very touched by his unobtrusive, close watch over our table and the fact that he volunteered to take the item off our bill of his own accord.

I eat pizza by eating the toppings off, then scraping the doughy part of the crust off and eating it, and then eating the crunchy bottom part of the crust. Time consuming, but I get to taste and enjoy the different flavours and textures to their fullest. I also hate sandwiches b/c they meld flavours so that individual flavours cannot be detected anymore. I used to eat pasta and sauce separately, but have grown out of that!

I like both...Milka is yummy, but I love dark chocolate too. If any chocolate is in a great combination with other flavours, I love it (hard to come by though). Pascal chocolates from France are great. :)

Pistachio gelato on coconut macaroons from How Sweet It Is

So many great desserts to choose from! I'm going to have to go with something simple - the olive oil gelato from Otto. In close second is the toasted coconut cake at wd-50. Third place goes to pretty much anything Alex Stupak concocts. No place goes to anything from Magnolia. There are FAR better desserts than that not only in NYC, but pretty much anywhere else in the world!
