Cleveland: If Michael Symon Weren't Already a Celebrity, B Spot Would Make Him a Star
We stopped at B Spot last summer on our way from Lansing to Boston & it will be a regular stop in the future, it was great. You forgot to mention the 6 different sauces at the table which were all awesome as well, both on the fries & the burgers.
Too much bottled lemon juice
Can things- its generally recommended to use bottled lemon juice for canning since it has a standard ph level
Can you recommend a mandoline slicer?
I can tell you that the OXO is sharp, I got so excited using mine that I forgot to use the guard & got the very edge of my pinkie. No damage, just a lot of blood & a tiny scar but the uncontaminated potato chips were fantastic. Its really easy to use & is adjustable, just use the guard!

Win Pop Chart Lab's "Constitutions of Classic Cocktails" Poster
I'm into cherry hearing & disaronno right now & I'm diligently shaking my raspberry infused vodka every day.

The Vegan Experience, Day 0
My boyfriend recently decided to stop eating pork for ethical reasons & I thought it would be fairly easy since we really never ate it except for bar-b-que but I've been really surprised by the numbers of times we've come across it in restaurants, almost always in bacon form. It shows up all over the place, especially in appetizers, sandwiches & salads. I imagine it must be much harder to be vegetarianian, let alone vegan.
Oven Mice
We had mice at the last place we lived & they definitely got into the oven & they would go up onto the stovetop through the burners. One even came up as I was using 2 of the other burners, he had no shame. We had one drown in the sink & one that got sent outside but we didn't ever manage to get rid of them before we moved out. I don't have a problem with mice in general but it's a wonder we didn't die.
What Are Your Soda Alternatives?
I drink a lot of water but used to drink a lot of mountain dew too. I've almost entirely cut that out but I still crave carbonation & flavor. I've found that mixing 7-Up, which is carbonated but not caffeinated, with pineapple juice is a pretty good substitution. Sometimes I add in a splash of grenadine or some other red fruity juice. It also means I always have an essential component of french martinis & tiki drinks on hand.
Cookbook Recs for Mediterranean food...
you might want to check out cookbooks by Ana Sortun, Claudia Roden & Paula Wolfert- they are all really good chefs/authors

LA Burdick's milk hot chocolate is the best I've ever had, though I have to give props to Droste cocoa.
Gooey Cinnamon Rolls?
try Joanne Chang's recipe from the Flour Bakery Cookbook, its awesome.
A Sandwich a Day: Pulled Pork from Slow's Barbecue in Detroit
that sandwich was sooo good & I don't even like pork all that much. the brisket enchiladas on the appetizer menu were also pretty amazing, I always thought I didn't like corn tortillas but that was because I had never had a fresh one before. the mac & cheese rocked too.
Cook the Book: 'Good Food to Share'
I think I'm going to be making some cookies & I'd really like to make some candy but I'm moving at the end of the month so who knows if I'll get any of it done.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: The Sriracha Lover's Ultimate Gift Pack
i think i like it best in dipping sauces so it can be with anything
Eliminating bacon odor
I would think fans and, if possible, open doors & windows.
Best loaf pan?
I think pyrex works great, I would also consider trying the williams-sonoma gold touch pans. I haven't tried the loaf pan specifically, only the jelly roll pan but that is awesome & they always get the highest recommendations on cooks illustrated.
Gimme some gooey mac n cheese recipes please!
Martha's recipe is definitely awesome, Alton Brown's stovetop recipe is really good too. I recently made the buffalo chicken mac & cheese recipe from food network & the cheese sauce was amazing, I'm trying to think of other ways I could use it.
Would You Rather Have Good Bad Pizza, or Bad Good Pizza?
I think good bad pizza because you go into it expecting mediocre & then end up pleasantly surprised.
Chik-Fil-A suing over kale claim
It's been on the news here in Vermont for a couple of weeks now. I think the closest chip-fil-a is in Nashua NH but they don't seem to care. I think it's kind of funny that they sent him a letter & their reasoning for him stopping was a list of all the other people they've sent letters to that have caved rather than fight them, they said all these others have given up so you should too. I'm bummed cause I think all his shirts are sold out now.
Ultimate Sticky Cinnamon Rolls--Please Make My Dream Come True
Try the recipe from the Flour Bakery in Boston, they are amazing. You can find it in the cookbook Flour by Joanne Chang or in the Throwdown with Bobby Flay cookbook where she kicked his butt.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: The Sriracha Lover's Ultimate Gift Pack
I like it best in dipping sauces to punch them up a little. Then you can dip anything & it will be good.
Where to eat in Europe?
In Sevilla, one thing I would highly recommend is going to the bar at the Hotel Alphonso XIII, the building is fantastic & you can have a fabulous meal of croquettes & sangria & it will be much more affordable than the restaurant but still in a unbelievable setting.
Jazzing up Tongan watermelon drink
My sister-in-law's mother is in Tonga right now with the Peace Corp & they went to visit her in August- this past weekend she made a drink for me they invented to use up all all the coconut water ( apparently foreigners have to buy coconuts by the dozen while Tongans can buy them individually). They called it the Potopoto cocktail & it's 2 parts coconut vodka, 2 parts coconut water, 1 part ginger simple syrup & 1/2 part lime juice all shaken & strained. Since you already have coconut in your drink, adding the vodka might go well. You could also think of the contrasting way melon is usually served, with balsamic or prosciutto & maybe add a little vinegar or salt to bring out the flavors.
