Cook the Book: Cowgirl Cuisine
There were four of us and on our Birthday my Mom always made a cake in the shape of an animal. There were bunnies, cats an even a clown. I don't know where she got her ideas.

I have a peach, an apricot, an apple and a lemon tree. I hope they all produce this year along with my grape vines. I just planted my tomatoes. I still have to plant peppers, cucumbers and squash. I hope my mint does better this year. I got a lot of suggestions reading the other comments. Thanks.
I make my own cornbread but I need some new ideas.
If I could hace a round the world tour, I would go to Italy, Spain and France because they have the best food.
I don't know much about Jewish cooking. That is why I would like to win this cookbook. I did have potato pancakes once that were very good.
I love stuffed cabbage the best. My Mom always made it for Easter and I have carried on the tradition.
If I knew it was my last meal I would like to have prime rib, baked potato with sour cream, sauted vegetables and chocolate. Chocolate for sure. Having your family around will make it taste even better. Thanks for the contest.
When I was growing up my grandfather kept laying hens. He had this very small white rooster that would attact us whenever we went into the yard. He would peck the back of our legs until we ran away. My grandfather wouldn't get rid of him though because all the chickens were laying eggs and many of them had chicks.

My favorite writer is Rachel Ray she writes her books just like I usually cook. (a pinch of this, a splash of that). I even get her magazine.
Fudge, fudge and more fudge. I make it every year and package it in pretty boxes to give out as Christmas gifts.
My Korean wedding banquet. OK, she had help, but I know her food and her organizational skills and so I can confidently say, she prepared this meal. And it was amazing and I will always remember it.
Mom rarely puts her heart into cooking. About twenty years ago, though, she prepared meat fondue -- that was great fun! And most memorable. Loved cooking my beef and chicken in the hot oil at the table. She also allowed all of us to make our own assortment of dipping sauces. My brother mixed grape jelly with godknowswhat. We all laughed. It's a shame we never had it again.
Her cooking and baking was so phenomenal, it's impossible to choose. She was always trying new recipes, especially from Julia and Jacques. I loved her pies and gratins.
My mother makes homemade ravioli and Italian spaghetti suace and meatballs to die for. She's Sicilian
Stuffed artichokes smothered in tomato sauce.. YUM.
The most memorable meal was when I was sick as a kid- it was very simple- cinnamon toast and soup. As an adult it is the best comfort food.
