Eating for Two: Iodized Salt

When I was pregnant I specifically threw OUT my iodized salt. Like you stated in your post, you can get your iodine from other sources.

I agree with the moist factor, but I can't stand that 'box mix' taste. All those preservatives, ugh, that's why it lasts for ten days, and I'm sure it's still in your colon!!

Eating for Two: What to Eat While Pregnant

With my first kid I ate right, no fried foods, no caffeine, and I exercised. He 4 and way underweight and has all these food allergies.
My second pregnancy? I drank Coke every day and ate candy. That second child is healthy as a horse.
Go figure.

I miss bbq munchos, planters cheeseballs (there is another brand available now in a large container that are good but...) and morton raspberry filled powdered donuts. Oh, those were the days.

does anyone else remember "Milkshake" candy bars. Tasted like a chocolate malt. Also a Japanese hard candy in a round red tin. We used to call it umeboshi candy.

Dang. . .the only flavor in my cupboard is strawberry. I gotta do this, it's too beautiful to pass up. . .I just love making memories for the grandkids.

Guilty pleasure--strawberry Jello with fresh bananas and real whipped cream. Oh wait--I love lime with grated carrots and lime with pineapple, too.

@kitchenbea--thanks for the idea. I have a friend who will think this is just so cool.

Eating for Two: What to Eat While Pregnant

I know it's been a year since you wrote this, but I typed in "what to eat while pregnant", and this came up. I was wondering how everything was going with the new baby? We have sooo much in common, it's strange.
Anyway, thank you for easing my mind. I have been eating these chocolate, peanut butter crispy meltaway candies I make like crazy. I justify it by the fact they are organic chocolate and natural peanut butter and high in fiber. LOL. I'm only @ 2 months along. I found out on May 26th I'm pregnant. I'm due January 29th, 2010. I am trying to stay away from the place in my town that makes the best chocolate malt PB milkshakes. Not an easy task, I pass it a few times a week. Well thank you again for the info, I'd love to hear more. :) T.

I think it was Keebler used to make these fudge sandwich cookies in a box. They were like a coco flavor with a fudge creme center. the were just called fudge sandwich cookies. Haven't been able to find them since the early nineties. The were great. Also miss the cheez balls in a can.

Mike's Deli in Chelsea, Michigan makes the best sandwiches! Swank on the Grill is my favorite: bacon and sharp orange cheddar cheese with honey mustard and raspberry jam...grilled to perfection on challah bread and served with a giant pickle. MMMmmmmm...They should make that one!
