Cool! One year, I made a gingerbread house with stained glass windows. I put crushed jolly rancher in the cutouts before baking.

I think I'm having butternut squash tonight too. I'm going to roast it with a couple cubed sweet potatoes, olive oil, balsamic, butter, s&p, thyme, and rosemary. I'm also making Tyler Florence's pan roasted chicken with mushrooms and rosemary. I thought it would be an excellent match, and it's very easy.

I have a method for eating a good slice of pizza...I start with the tip of the triangle, because it is the best bite or two. This whets my appetite and I eat the crust, which is filling (and hopefully tasty- like I said, this method is for a good slice) but lacks delicious toppings. After the crust, I finish with the middle. Now I could just eat the slice backwards, but I can't resist the perfect tip, and then I'm ready for the filling crust, and I finish on a good note with the middle.

I really like foods that have a certain element of ritual to them- like artichokes

My dinner will be rather late tonight, but I think I'll have some of my dad's vegetable soup and a turkey sandwich- whole wheat, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo. Maybe a granny smith apple too, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and dipped in peanut butter.

I ran two miles in 18 minutes (I'm in the last week of a 6 week fitness bootcamp) and I'm very very hungry...so I'm going to get on that now..

9:30: orange juice
12: granola bar
1:30: italian sub and barbeque chips
4: handful of frozen fruit- mango, strawberry, papaya, pineapple
6: bengal spice tea
9: red beans & rice w/ fresh tomato, lettuce, sour cream; chocolate chip coconut cookie with milk

Pizza from my local, late night, main street place. It's thin crusted, greasy, and so gooooood. They make the best white pizza with garlic and basil and ricotta, and with a side of their delicious marinara it is a frequent craving for me, drunk or not. My friend's mom makes awesome drunk snack food, like veggie pizza- the kind with cream cheese, broccoli, carrots, red pepper, etc.- and seven layer dip.
