Charred Salsa Verde

I made this recipe this afternoon. I like it a lot. I added a little extra cilantro at the end, after it cooled—and next time I might wait to add all of that second cilantro installment after cooling, to see if safeguarding it from the residual heat is preferable. Maybe it doesn't matter either way.

Incidentally: I used my Vitamix, but the whole time I felt guilty about not choosing my All-Clad immersion blender. !!

I will admit that I was surprised to see that CR limited the testing to only those two tests—no mayo, no whipped cream, no non-soup purees.

I'll also add that I'm pretty intimately familiar with all the models mentioned so far in this thread. There are some fine performers among them, but I still like my winners.
