Grilled Trevisano or Radicchio With Gorgonzola, Olive Oil, and Saba

@Kenji-
Could this be done in a hot oven (possibly sliced thinner)? Good or disappointing?

How do you avoid overspending?

AnnieNT- I could not agree more....NEVER go food shopping when you're hungry! A list helps me stay on track and avoid the impulse purchases (unless I discover a super sale)....

Stainless steel bowls

I spent Easter in Montreal and visited "Dollarama"...a $1.00 (and up) store. I bought several stainless steel mixing bowls for $3.25 each...made in India. I have seen similar sized bowls in other stores for $18 and more.
Aside from the more expensive bowls being heavier guage, is there any down-side to these bargain bowls??

Convection Oven/Broiler

I just moved into a new apartment with a built-in Dacor oven with "convection bake" and "convection broil" settings (as well as conventional bake/broil settings). How does the convection setting affect bake times on recipes?
Any info is very much appreciated!
