My Sicilian grandfather prepared zucchini this way. He had a pasta("macaroni") course every lunch and dinner...always accompanied with zucchini fried in olive oil.

Stainless steel bowls

I spent Easter in Montreal and visited "Dollarama"...a $1.00 (and up) store. I bought several stainless steel mixing bowls for $3.25 each...made in India. I have seen similar sized bowls in other stores for $18 and more.
Aside from the more expensive bowls being heavier guage, is there any down-side to these bargain bowls??

Convection Oven/Broiler

I just moved into a new apartment with a built-in Dacor oven with "convection bake" and "convection broil" settings (as well as conventional bake/broil settings). How does the convection setting affect bake times on recipes?
Any info is very much appreciated!
