Fast Food: McDonald's Chicken McBites

I used to order 100 nuggets after drinking and have to negotiate with the operator that a) we were serious and b) how to put together a 100 nugget order in their system (5x20 presented difficulty for them).

Now I get my nugget fix with a 6 piece happy meal at the airport with chocolate milk, usually cheaper than any other meal and just the right amount of food (plus a stupid crappy toy for my niece or nephew)

It sounds like your restaurant operation is a little more complex than it should be, especially in terms of your menu...and that comes at a cost; it seems the cost is in terms of you and your boyfriends time/sanity. Something to think about.

Also, I hope you have something in place to make sure the cookie thing never happens again. It's inexcusable to yell at someone about cookies, but it seems that your party/rental process failed to anticipate the full dessert delivery. Hopefully you've changed your policy to ensure something like that doesn't happen again, even if it's as simple as telling clients they're responsible for bringing their desserts. Gotta define the boundary of who's responsible for what, otherwise if there's a gray area, bad things can happen.

One thing that's helped me is eating a small banana first thing when I wake up in the morning, seems to help stop me form wanting to eat mindlessly. I read somewhere it helps turn off the caveman instinct to just eat eat eat.

Black Pepper: Friend or Foe?

I usually don't taste black pepper, but find that it works well "stopping" other flavors. What I mean is, with some foods their flavor will just linger overlong on the tongue. I find that if I then add pepper where there wasn't any before, it kind of makes the other foods flavor "stop" at a better time. Who knows, though.

Your Kitchen Hacks?

Sometimes instead of peeling potatoes (especially when I'm going to cube the potatoes), I cut the skins off with a bit of the potato flesh (leaving a nice square chunk of potato for whatever else).

Then I boil the skins (removing eyes, etc...) and fry them in butter or olive oil, with onions or onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

I like eating the whole potato, so that's an easy delicious way for me to do so.

Types of Pizza-Crust Eaters

I used to be the anticrust when it came to pizza. Now I usually eat any crust that comes along, though I actually fold the last inch or so of regular sauced/cheesed pie over the crust if it looks dry
