Preggo control freak seeks TG menu advice...

DH, SIL, MIL, etc are very common abbreviations on message boards frequented by pregnant women. Not too different from the "OP" that you used in one of your own posts in this thread, @Monsieur_Ghislain.

Good Luck on your Thanksgiving dinner. I was 7 months pregnant at Thanksgiving last year...make sure you take breaks or you might be looking at some seriously swollen feet at your big dinner!

Is eating Organic Food worth spending double the money?

I feed my infant son organic (I make it myself). My husband and I eat some foods organic that we feel taste better, but not too many. I would love to eat more locally, but we live in Tampa. Not too much is grown here, especially in the summer.

Breakfast Cereal Marshmallows: Yea or Nay?

Oh hell yes! When I was a kid, I would eat all of the oaty bits out of the bowl of Lucky Charms so I was just left with a glorious bowl of marshmallows. This removes that extra step!!

Are You a Triangle or Rectangle Sandwich Cutter?

Diagonal all the way. Just a thought...when you have round/oval bread, isn't every cut essentially a straight cut?

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal...

Stuffing and gravy! Basically, everything on the plate except for the sweet potatoes takes a bath in gravy, which is just fine by me. And this year I'll be 7 months pregnant when Thanksgiving rolls around, so I feel like my gluttony will be slightly less frowned-upon

The Milk in Pumpkin Pie Debate

My husband's great-grandmother's recipe (definitely now my go-to recipe) uses both evaporated milk and whole milk and way more spices than I've ever used in any other recipe. The result is rich and spicy--everyone who's tried it loves it.

Tomatoes Are Evil

I'm with you on the raw tomatoes...I love tomato sauce, ketchup, pretty much anything with cooked tomatoes, but I can't stand them raw! I'm willing to admit that it might be that I've never had a good tomato, but how many do I have to try before I et the right one?

Cook the Book: 'Rustic Fruit Desserts'

Apple crisp with topping on the top and bottom...with a nice scoop of cinnamon ice cream!

Cook the Book: 'Martha Stewart's Cooking School'

I've never made her mac and cheese, but apparently, after reading these comments, I definitely have to! I vote for the white cake cupcakes with strawberry buttercream from the baking handbook. Yum!

Cook the Book: 'The Cook's Country Cookbook'

Potato Cheddar Casserole made with refrigerated hash browns, cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, and the secret ingredient...French Onion Dip! So easy to make, it feels like a cop out, but it literally disappears in minutes.
