tea and whatever fruit is seasonal. I'm enjoying apples right now.
Soup's on
Right now I'm loving Ina Garten's Rosemary White Bean Soup from the Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. I top it with a little fresh grated parm. Yum
What is your favorite fast food on road trips?
Chick Fil A is my favorite and one of the few chain fast food joints I enjoy(we usually are driving up and down the east coast).

What is your favorite fast food on road trips?
Born, raised and still living in California. In'N'Out (traditional double-double with onions, fries well-done) is definitely acceptable roadtrip food. And, a few times a year we'll bring it home, usually after a yardwork marathon that runs past dinnertime (too late and too tired to cook, way too grubby to get out of the car in public).
Once in a while we'll grab Breakfast Jacks from Jack In The Box on a road trip. Or, if it's getting late and we haven't reached our planned stopping point, we'll hit Sonic if we see one along the route.
The man of the house claims to really like KFC (probably because I've never mastered fried chicken, and have basically given up on it). But, in the seven or so years I've known him, I've yet to see him actually stop there.
In general, we just don't like fast food. A "counter-service" place or diner is almost always the preferred alternative.
Oh. And, it's not fast food, but what about Cracker Barrel?

What is your favorite fast food on road trips?
Seems my favorite In-N-Out burger is pretty popular with road trippers. I live in Texas and rarely get out to California, but when I do, its an In-N-Out rampage. I dream about these burgers and fries.
My other road food weakness is James Coney Island, roundabout Austin and Houston. The chili cheese coneys are the best dog ever, the tots are perfect and they serve beer. What more can you ask for?
What is your favorite fast food on road trips?
I used to love seeing Waffle Houses for the first time on trips from NY to FL. Now that I live in FL, they're a big "so what" ... LOL. If I had to pick a fast food place, it would be Checkers. OMG...The only french fries on the planet I can eat without ketchup!!
Everyday I eat_____________
Bran in one incarnation or another. A muffin, cereal, or added to oatmeal. I also have multi-grain bread daily. After all, nobody ever said, "Protein...The Staff of Life!"
What is your favorite fast food on road trips?
Sonic all the way. And in the south, Huddle House. SO much better than IHOP.
