Gluten Free in NYC?
Friends are visiting this weekend, one of which has celiac disease. Wondering what are the best gluten-free restaurants or restaurants that have gluten-free menus in New York City?
Thank you so much for your suggestions! @carfreeinla, you're totally right...I should have made some parameters of where in the city. Was definitely thinking downtown, east or west villages.
Risotteria has come up A LOT. Might have to check it out.
thanks again!
Dinosaur. Hands down.
I have to ask....how long did this meal take? It looks absolutely delicious, and I wish I was there with you!
Sriracha on popcorn! Great snack...with a kick!
As many have said in the thread...sweet potato fries. Get me everytime.
As a Badger Alum, my idea would be: fried foods, beer, and barbecue themed appetizers. However, this isn't too baby shower friendly, nor gluten-free. I would recommend the New Grist Beer (it's gluten free!) and hails from Milwaukee. You could also do a think of healthier/more gourmet spins on the Wisconsin Classics: cheese curds, butterburgers, brats by swapping out regular fatty meats and cheeses for artisan or leaner options. Popcorn can also be a fun, and wisco-themed snack.
Think: Red and White for University of Wisconsin or Minnesota Twins, Green and Yellow for Packers, and I think you could make anything truly "Wisconsin."
Hope this helps!
Absolutely fabulous. Congratulations to all of you at Serious Eats! VERY well deserved.

jd2112 hasn't favorited a post yet.
Might be one of the toughest questions I've ever been asked. But, Katz's has to be the best. Pastrami unbelievable, but a favorite? Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, Coleslaw with Mustard.
