Food Network Cookware? Hit or Miss?

Haven't heard about it yet. . .Who is the primary manufacturer?

Chef TV - Coming Soon!

Do you remember the "Great Chefs" series by the Discovery Channel?

That was good! I was brought up on cooking shows on PBS. . .Loved it! Then when I saw Food Network I thought, WOW. . .there's my network. But just like in the 80's when MTV came on the air, everybody thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. . .then came the reality shows.

Oh wait. . .is history repeating itself. . .Food Network has done the same thing.

I guess I understand it better now knowing that a chef or group of chefs have never owned or operated that network so what do you expect. It's all about the ratings, not what us foodies can get out of it.

PBS still has some great cooking shows with Lidia B. and Mary Ann E.

I just saw Alton Brown in Cleveland, OH. Now there is some talent. His Good Eats programs are great! In my opinion they could easily be made into one hour shows and be more informative and more instructional.

What do you say AB?

Anyway. . .All the Home Cooks and City Chefs need to unite to create this new network devoted to COOKING!

Chef TV - Coming Soon!

I have read a lot about Mario Batali and Anthony Bourdain not liking the whole 'Food Network' situation. I couldn't agree with them more. . .I hereby make a motion that Mario Batali and Anthony Bourdain start a new network. . .Chef TV. . . and let's get back to cooking!!

P.S. Sign Alton Brown with this new network also!
