Dmcavanagh Tackles Crushed Tomatoes

I used to use DeCecco crushed tomatoes exclusively, but I haven't been able to find DeCecco for a couple years. My understanding is they stopped making it.

I tried WalMart's Great Value: VERY thick, but good flavor.

My current favorite is Sclafani at $1.50 USD/28oz can: EXCELENT flavor; "Made from ripe tomatoes with salt added."

Tuttorosso tastes TERRIBLE!

PS: My 16-inch pizza screen was $5 USD at my local restaurant supply store. They have sizes from 12 to 20 inches.

I sometimes buy Price Chopper made-in-store rectangle pizzas, and they cook their pizzas in a baking sheet, then remove the pizza from the baking sheet, put the pizza back in the oven to "crunch up" for a few minutes.

When I get the cooked pizza home, I use a 16-inch diameter round pizza screen to put 2-3 individual slices on the lower oven shelf at 400°F for 4+ minutes.

The bottom crust is nice and crunchy!

Slice Poll: How Do You Reheat Your Leftover Pizza?

I reheat pizza slices on my 16-inch pizza screen in a preheated 400°F oven on the lowest rack for about 4 minutes, or until the cheese starts to bubble, or until the crust starts to smoke! (If the edge is dry, I'll spray Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the edge before putting it in the oven.)

Bread and microwave ovens do NOT mix!

My favorite frozen pizza is Celeste Pizza-For-One: Deluxe. 16 minutes on a pizza screen in 400°F oven; crunchy, very good flavors; great size for lunch. I usually add about 8 of my own pepperoni slices.

Funny video! But I always liked Frank's Hot Sauce, not Tabasco. Frank's is used in Buffalo Hot Wings. I've never put it on pepperoni pizza slices before; I usually use extra oregano, (dry) crushed red pepper: Utica (NY) grind, and grated Pecorino Romano Cheese; but I'll give Frank's Hot Sauce a try.

Adam, I have central A/C, so that is not a problem for me. :-) (Plus, in summer, I leave the oven door shut when I'm done. In winter, I leave the oven door open when I'm done.)

I'll try my cast iron pan next time I reheat a slice.

For 30 years I've been doing the following: 1) Preheat oven to 400-450°F; 2) put leftover slice on a pizza screen ; 16-inch diameter for $5 at my local restaurant supply; 3) put into oven for about 4 min. Result: Crispy crust, bubbly cheese.
