Jack Canfield has made quite a nice living off of "Chicken Stories"..we can't top him...Chicken Soup for the Soul series... and not a chicken in sight!

My mother was from South Dakoda...her idea of vegetables..was a can of Del Monte... thank goodness, I married my husband.
As something more than a cookbook writer, I have learned from and enjoyed READING the books by Alton Brown. Don't buy them, if you are looking for a recipe. If you want to learn about food and how to cook using those ingredients, he's a good teacher. Not only that, but you'll learn what each ingredients does/or should do in a recipe. Not for everyone, but certainly for the amateur who wants to learn about cooking and methods.
I didn't have my first black-bottom cupcake until I was in my forties! It's surprising that I am still sane!
My son's chocolate mint bars..and he will not share the recipe. That's okay..he has to bake them, then. Not me.
Anyone ever had milk chocolate covered popcorn?

Pepper is a definate must. I love it.
Favorite grilling sauce is Veri Veri Teriyaki by Soy Vay. Good on beef, chicken...Even though it's the same sauce, it makes the proteins taste different.
I love using lemon-pepper. It works on chicken, steak and grilled veggies.
Olive oil and fresh lemon juice with zest of lemon also
Olive oil and garlic - I love garlic on everything.
