I absolutely love ranch on my pizza. Granted, I am a middle-school student (though homeschooled), and got the idea from my (middle school, homeschooled) friends after we started dipping French-Fries in Ranch (that's justified in Mich--here most of the fries are way too greasy or way too dry). We decided to try it on our pizza--and it's great. Only Hidden Valley (tm) works though. Deep dish pizza doesn't need it, fortunately. A group fave for us is cayenne pepper, fresh black pepper, ranch, and tabasco sauce. I agree, if it's good pizza, it doesn't need condiments, but (1) pizza in metro-detroit isn't that good, and (2), it doesn't matter if it needs it--if ya want it, I say put it on unashamedly!

Folding? Gasp! The cheese-sliding, the favoring of the crust over topping--I am horrified! That is like trying to judge a slice only eating the crust and taking off the cheese or vice versa!

I do use a knife and fork, often for sanitary reasons. If you 'have' to fold you're eating your pizza too fast and too casually!

Often times the moisture content of the mozzarella in combination with an overdose of olive oil can cause a New Haven thin crust pie to be overcome by E.D. Not only is folding necessary, but the sagging tip needs to be folded back, creating somewhat of a "package". Just as it is impossible to translate from one language to another with absolute precision, it is impossible to comprehend the vocabulary of a great pizza when a knife and fork are the "translators". Using "hardware" between the pie and the mouth IMHO is a sacrilege!

I agree with Jaysus. Let the pie decide. I dont like it when both the top and bottom of my mouth are touching crust so I voted no fold. Those who are committed to the fold can find themselves in unfamiliar territory. I was watching man vs. food with that crazy chubby guy when he was at the Chicago toursit trap UNO's and took a slice of their pan pizza and tried folding it! Has anyone seen this? Needless to say the crispy crust broke and he had pizza all over himself and just stuffed it in his mouth anyways. It was a mess haha. I was embarassed for him.

I love Resevoir Tavern in Parsippany, and DeLorenzos in Chambersburg (Trenton), so many great pizzerias down at the shore.

That woman is a totally worthless waste of space who should be put out of her misery for having the audacity to a) walk around with a pizza that big without knowing how to hold it properly, and b) leaving it sitting on the pavement because she didn't want to dirty up her fancy leather boots or silly cap. Not only does she leave the pizza there - she actually throws the box top on the ground before leaving the scene.

What a b*tch!!!
