Would it make it less prone to cheese-leakage if there was a set of small holes set across the top of the crust? Since steam is becoming an issue, I wonder if pre-creating outlets for steam to escape from would resolve the issue.

'Brutta ma Buona' in Taiwan, Part 1: Fan Tuan

There's a very similar thing in the Taiwan night markets, where they grill a sausage casing filled with rice, slice it down the middle, and then place a grilled sausage inside with various pickled vegetables.

Here's a link to a pic of a few of them getting ready to be eaten, but unfortunately, I didn't get to take a pic of us eating them due to the fact that they generally are a mess to eat.

These are very tasty... I miss Asia's night markets so much!
