Cook the Book: 'The Adobo Road Cookbook'
I'm Chinese Mexican Irish. The most heritage-y thing was my Great Grandma Martinez made amazing flour tortillas by hand/from scratch. I did recently photograph lots of recipe cards from my Grandma Smith, but most of these are very 50's/60's recipes with many brand name convenience foods listed as ingrdients. My mom purchased a lot of Swanson's frozen food and Chef Boy-R-Dee for me.
Cook the Book: 'Family Table'
A reunion potluck with the "family" of the cast and crew of a play I was in.

Bake the Book: Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook
"Back in the day" made me think of the pre-packaged Creme Anglaise I could buy in grocery stores in Paris. I used it on so many different things. Delicious...and I will not answer if I ever drank it straight from the carton.
Super Bowl Party Giveaway: Baby Back Ribs and Pulled Pork
The big extended family backyard barbeque gatherings back in Galesburg, IL. I don't know as many people with backyards in L.A.

It's not fancy or anything, but I kinda love Lee's Sandwiches.

It was at Mo' Better Meaty Meat Burgers here in Los Angeles. Great crunchy char on the burger with a nice hit of black pepper. I think those owners opened a different restaurant recently. I want to try it.
