How many times a day do you eat?
I used to subscribe to the 5-6 small meals a day, because I was told that it would speed up my metabolism ("stoke the fires of your metabolic furnace!")... but as I have learned over the years through study (exercise science & nutrition are the fields in which I work), there is not much truth to that... turns out your body burns the same amount of calories from the thermic effect of food (process of digestion/absorption) if you eat x number of calories over 3 big meals or 6 smallers ones... since it's inconvenient for me to eat 5-6 times a day, I tend to eat 3 times a day. My life hasn't suffered any, and my body's the same. If I've gained or lost it hasn't been from the frequency of meals, but rather from the total amount of food I've eaten over a given period of time (days/weeks, etc.)... My energy hasn't suffered much either, except when I eat a very large meal heavy on the starchy carbs... then i get MAJOR sluggish about 20 minutes later...
The Joys of Unnaturally Flavored Sodas
In South Florida/Miami there are three sodas in particular that I'm nuts for, and now that I live in Arizona they are pretty hard to find (though I've occasionally found them): Jupiña (pineapple soda), Materva (yerba mate soda) and Ironbeer (I have no idea what kind of soda this is, it's dark like cola but is kinda fruity with a bit of a bite). And since I, too, prefer to CHEW my calories, I was thrilled to find diet versions of all of these (in Florida of course). So those are my must-haves when I visit my parents in Miami.
OH! There is another one that is really good too, Coco Rico - a coconut-water soda.
Seriously - no amount of Fresca, Sierra Mist, Diet Mt. Dew or Diet Sunkist will ever top my South Florida favorites.
do you remember elementary school cafeteria food?
Thursdays were pizza day in middle school - and I'd take $2.00 instead of $1.00 so that i coudl get TWO pizzas. To me, that was the best pizza in the world and Thursdays were the ray of sunshine in my teen-angst-ridden week.
Other delicacies I remember actually enjoying in middle school included the beefaroni, the triangluar shaped "popsicle" in a squeeze packet, and the carrot cake.
In high school I went to a small private school where lunch was prepared by two old ladies in their homes, and then they came and sold it to us. Being that most of our student body was Cuban, we often had cuban sandwiches, "pan con croquetas" and "media noche" sandwiches. We also had guava or meat empanadas, and really bad pizza.

Fage is my original favorite. My first love. Because I was eating it every day, sometimes twice a day for a while, I bought 0%. I'm used to the flavor and texture of nonfat now, so it's no sacrifice to me, however after reading so many of you's persuasive reasons for bringing back some of the fat, I may pick up 2% next time I'm at the market.
It's very expensive around here, so my economy substitute - which I agree is not quite the same - is the Trader Joe's Nonfat Greek Plain. I don't get that cement flavor some of you say. It tastes just fine. Actually, not "just fine" - more like "pretty good." I do like to mix in sweet things rather than savory.
One of my favorite yogurt concoctions lately is the greek yogurt with frozen (half thawed) chunks of mango and a sprinkling of a latin product called Piñalinaza which is flaxseed meal with ground pineapple, prickly pear, and various citrus fruits. Sometimes I through some other fruit in there, like strawberries or raspberries.
