I should make a note about terminology over here...basically, anything served on a bun is a burger. So a 'chicken burger' is a cooked chicken breast on a bun, not minced or chopped chicken.

Please also understand how far we've come on the burger front. I remember 8 years ago McDonald's unveiled its 'Chicken and Mayo' burger...a chicken fillet with mayonnaise and shredded lettuce on a plain bun. And nothing else. We're still coming to terms with concepts of 'flavour' and 'interesting'.

Also, BSE scared the hell out of people, so most burgers are cooked to death. You'll also encounter the odd salad that people put on burgers (shredded lettuce, tomato wedges and cucumber in a mayo sauce, coupled with a bland tomato salsa and maybe a bit of bland barbeque sauce for good measure).
