Girl Scout Cookies - New Cookie - Dulce De Leche

I didn't like the dulce de leches too much,I sorta felt like they were just...eh. Too plain maybe? I also tried the sugar free chocolate chips for the first time, not realizing they were sugar free, and it was pretty gross. If I'm going to buy Girl Scout cookies I'll stick with Samoas, Thin Mints, and the chocolate/peanut butter ones.

Is anyone here giving up a certain food for Lent?

eleeb--that's what makes them so delicious Easter morning! it's a sugar free-for-all!
I always choose something that is extremely hard for me to go without, and that always means sweets. needless to say, the past 2 days i've been stuffing myself with candy and girl scout cookies.

What's So Weird About That?

One of my favorite meals--made in a college dorm with no kitchen--is canned kidney beans drained, heated for a few seconds in the microwave, and then covered with olive oil.
Brocolli has always been my favorite veggie, just plain, steamed. And I love potato skin, it's my favorite part of the potato!

What would your last meal be?

My mom's cheese stuffed shells and garlic bread with a whole lot of her marinara sauce on the side. For dessert, coconut cream pie and a ginormous vanilla soft serve cone. Plus coffee.

What kind of Candy or Cookies do you make for Christmas

pjracz,joanpieroni2 that recipe is similar. here's the one i use:
4 C sugar
6T unsweetened cocoa
2/3 C evaporated milk
1 heaping C peanut butter
1 C butter
1/3 C water
6 C oats
2 t vanilla

In large saucepan, mix sugar, butter, cocoa, water, and milk. Cook, stirring often, until it comes to a boil. Boil for about 4 min. In large bowl, mix oats and peanut butter. Add cooked mixture and stir in vanilla, mixing well. WORKING QUICKLY drop spoonfuls onto waxed paper and allow to sit overnight.

The smell of the mixture cooking is amazing!! And they are impossible to stay away from once dropped onto the wax paper!
