I don't know the names of the olive varieties I eat because they never seem to be included on the label, but my favourite olives right now are organic green olives that are stuffed with garlic.

We have a big garden, and I'm not sure of everything we're going to grow yet. We'll definitely have all the usual things: peas, beans, potatoes, garlic, onions, broccoli, sweet corn, lettuce, spinach, radishes, carrots, beets, a wide variety of herbs...

I haven't tried very much Jewish food, but of what I have I think I'd have to choose challah.

I love paska when I have time to make it (or when I can find someone else who does).

I learned mostly from my parents. My mom and dad are both good cooks, although they have very different techniques - my mom is more likely to follow complicated recipes, while my dad makes things up or combines several recipes. My grandmas taught me some baking techniques.

My favourite kind is dark.

My favourite is a chocolate cake recipe that my mom clipped from a magazine many years ago. It's similar to many flourless chocolate cakes, but if I remember correctly (and I don't have the recipe handy to check) it does have some flour.

I like dark chocolate best, but I'll eat any kind as long as it's of good quality.
