Poll: Do You Order Sushi 'Omakase'?

Totally depends. At Hatsuhana, with Seki San, I'll let him pick. Otherwise it's normally a la carte.

How to Jazz Up Your Guacamole

How about some of those dried coconut chips? I think I'll try that next time around...

A Sandwich a Day: Roaster Beef at Roll-n-Roaster

I wish there was a New England style roast beef place around. Do I need to open one? A Kelly's or even Bill and Bob's would be nice.

Sugar Rush: L'arte del Gelato's Olive Oil Gelato

I wasn't sure about this...but I tried it anyway and it's is amazing. Delightful light OO taste. Wow. I'm a believer. (and $4 poorer)

A Sandwich a Day: Fresh Ham Sandwich at La Taza de Oro

Just had it, and loved it, but it came with an alarming amount of bone in it. I had one piece that was almost 2 inches long, and several that were smaller.

Very good, eat with care.

Long Island City, Queens: Five Star Punjabi Diner

I love this place, but stick to the vegetarian entrees. Sauces are good, but the quality of the meat/poultry is low. Great cheap eats when you are in that hood.

Raising the Bar: Fishing for a Bite at White Slab

I went last month, ordered a burger, waited 45 minutes...no burger, no waitress. Gave up and left. They take service a little too loosely...
