I don't have a favorite brand, but I do HATE the super thin crust ones. Nothing like plowing through an entire pizza because it's SO NOT FILLING to make you feel like a disgusting fatbody...
I made this for my husband's birthday party this weekend and it was DELICIOUS. Everybody raved about it. It's definitely going in my recipe box.
I just made it with soba and it is DELISH.
Monopod's got a good point. The starch in potatoes should be more than enough to hold together if you do it right.
I'd drive the distance to Riverside in traffic (because Southern California) to get the burger at The Salted Pig. SO surprisingly amazing, I had no idea good things come out of Riverside, but it's better than any burger I've had in San Diego!
I also absolutely hate that place. There's a subway around the corner from my house, and I will never darken their doorway.
The last time I had carne asada fries (maybe 2009), I looked on the this is why you're fat website and they were at the top, the very next day.
Come on, he's only got crazy eyes because he's scruffed.
Also I'm a little surprised the glider port snack bar isn't listed on here. Best meal with a view in the city, in my opinion!
PS Jai shut down.
Usually I decide, and then blurt out something else while ordering. It works.
Well, mine has a concrete hearth in it, and is slightly more steep-sided than the Malm. I think your second point is probably the kicker. And your third. Maybe it's the kind of thing I'll try once and decide it's a horrible idea.
I am obsessed with the mayo I get at the Mexican grocery down the street that's made with lime juice. So delicious!
At the end of my block. San Diego for the win on this!
I'll make you a deal : send us your pizza, and you can have some of our 20 million Mexican places.
Mid-city San Diego here - it's a cross between Vietnamese food/groceries and Mexican food/groceries.
So I'd say if I had to claim 2 foods, it'd be pho and fresh tortillas. I get my tortillas down the road from my house, hot and right off the flat top.
My dad would be a home-made thin crust pizza with andouille sausage (the kind that looks so much like dynamite in a carry-on that he almost got arrested) and probably some kind of thai curry sauce. It'd be a weird combo but he would love it. I hope he comes to visit soon! I'll make it for him :D
Made this with soba noodles and some fish sauce last night. Excellent vegan dinner :)
I was quite let down by my burger when I visited Burger Bar. It was practically tasteless. And for the 21 bucks I plopped down for it, it just left me wanting quite a bit.
Indra Kunindra at Ballast Point. Thankfully, I only got a dollar taster of it at the brewery because I HATED it. Ew.
Definitely a rum runner!
Awesome! We're going to be moving like... 3 blocks from that. Good to know that I won't miss out on awesome burgers within walking distance :)
Oooh I LOVE cooking with harissa. I marinate chicken in a mixture of the harissa, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic slices and onion (and lots of black pepper). Then I grill it. SO delicious.
Man that place is good...
Question - how do I keep asparagus from getting overcooked in a quiche?
Am I the only Jewish person who finds the stringency of passover rules entirely silly? Like... I can get on board with not eating leavened bread. Fine. Even pasta. But rice? It just doesn't make sense to me in terms of the holiday's historical basis.
