Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Southside Market Sausage

I have been meaning to try Tyler's Taste of Texas, near San Diego, but I haven't yet. Everyone says good things about it! Besides a couple of cheap, old timey BBQ pit places, I don't know of any other barbecue in SD.

Dear AHT: Should I Make Burgers with My Elk Meat?

My dad hunts as well. In fact, we don't buy beef at the grocery store, we only have elk as our "red meat" at home. One elk goes a long way for a family :].
I have never had a dry elk burger, but I do know that my dad specifies to the butcher what he wants ground (sorry, I don't know any more specifics) so that probably makes a better-than-average elk burger.
We use it in chili, spaghetti sauce, etc. too and it always tasty.
