I will be going to Ithaca over halloween weekend and was looking for some delicious food options! I will be driving from Boston to Ithaca (any suggestions along the way are welcome too!) on Sunday and staying just until Monday afternoon. What are some can not miss places?
Thanks!
My husband & I are taking a weekend getaway to Wellfleet, MA on the Cape. We havent spent much time on the Cape and no time at all in Wellfleet and are looking for some good spots to eat.
We are driving down from Boston on Thursday afternoon and coming home on Saturday evening so a few days to much on something seriously delicious!
What are your favorite places to visit when you go?
I am an avid home baker with a desire to increase my baking skills. I have taken baking/cooking classes in the past but tend to find them a waste of my time. I often feel as if I could have saved the money and taught myself at home.
I am thinking that another route to take is to buy a really good, instructive baking cookbook and teach myself. Does anyone have any suggestions??
I have this dream of opening up a cozy coffee shop one day in my neighborhood.
I have the baking part down (my own personal skills and recipes are good, although I am taking classes to hone them), and I make good coffee with steamed milk at home, but I don't know how to make a good espresso based beverage- latte, mocha, cappuccino, etc.
Does anyone have an suggestions for learning such skills? Are there good books on the topic of coffee in general?
I live in Boston and would love if anyone knew of classes I could take in the area. Would anyone in the area be willing to teach me?
I am thinking about making some bread dough that I could freeze in small portions and take out and bake when needed (fresh bread is so much better than store or several day old bread...). However, I am not sure whether I should let my dough rise the second time before or after I freeze it.
Any advice?
